Batallé participates in the development of a digital twin on a fattening pig farm.

The main objective of the project is to develop and implement digital twin technologies at the pig farming to take a step towards the use of intelligent tools to improve decision-making in the sector and to accelerate its digital transformation.
In the project also participates the University of Lleida (UdL), Cereales Torremorell and the Clusters Catalan Association of Innovation of the Pork Meat Sector (INNOVACC) and Spanish
Cluster of Pig Livestock Producers (i+Porc).
Batallé will participate in several specific objectives:
– To use the models developed at the UdL for the management of fattening farms, adding on the farms the available digitized information to build digital twins.
– To develop a virtual farm prototype for fattening piglets (Fattening farm Digital Twin).
– To disseminate the results and stimulate the sector to advance in the digitization and integration of digital solutions that improve decision-making, animal welfare and environmental impact.
